To improve your surfing skills you need a coach who is:
- a skilled teacher who can explain clearly the technical maneuvers to get you to the next level,
- an ocean safety expert who makes you feel comfortable in the water yet challenges you,
- someone who helps you get to know yourself better on a personal level through surfing, and
- someone to have fun with!

ABOUT
Hi! I’m Alex from Nias, an island north of Sumatra.
Nias is more than a beautiful place. With its world class waves, white beaches, blue water and strong culture, it is paradise!
Living just down the road from Sorake Point, you could find me on the beach teaching myself to surf whenever I had the chance. I loved being in the water and skipped many days of school to receive life lessons from the ocean. Balance, right?
After a knee injury I made the decision to stop surfing professionally and to dedicate my time to teach others all about surfing. I am a registered International Surfing Association (ISA) surf coach and have a life guard certificate because: safety comes first!
About five years ago, I moved to Bali where I started teaching in surf camps. Soon, I became a head coach and eventually started freelancing.
And since 2022 I started my own surf school!
For me, surfing is all about having fun being out in nature, meeting new people, all while challenging yourself mentally and physicallly.
